What is a plate heat exchanger?
Plate heat exchangers are the most effective type of heat exchanger with its low cost, flexibility, easy maintenance and high thermal energy conversion. The VGH board is dried to achieve turbulence over the entire heat transfer area. This will produce the highest possible heat transfer coefficient and the lowest possible pressure drop, allowing the method to shut down the temperature. Subsequently, this results in a smaller heat transfer area, smaller units and, in some cases, fewer heat exchangers. This benefit customer very much needs less space, reduced secondary flow rates and smaller pumps.
The VGH plate heat exchanger consists of a specific number of sealed plates between which an upper guide bar and a lower guide bar are fixed. The plate compresses the guide bar between the fixed frame plate and a movable frame. Liquid enters the connection and distribution in the middle of the plate heat exchanger plate through the frame. The flow between plates is controlled by the position of the spacers. These are available in single and multi-pass arrangements, depending on the application.
